Geogrids
Geogrids are a polymer-based geosynthetic designed for soil stabilization and sub-base reinforcement. They are designed to enhance the performance of granular soils by combining tensile strength with the friction and interlocking properties between the soil and the geogrid. When fill is placed on the geogrid, the mesh design locks soil in place, which provides excellent stability. All of Titan`s geogrids resist UV degredation, and are mechanically and chemically stable in aggressive soil environments. Geogrid products are easy and fast to install, making them a very economical choice. Titan offers three types of Geogrids, Uniaxial, Biaxial, and Biaxial Fiberglass.
Uniaxial Polyester Geogrids
Manufactured with high molecular weight, high tenacity polyester yarns by precision knitting process.- Reinforcement for steep slopes, retaining walls, embankments, and other vertical soil structures.
- Can be built at any angle to provide the most economical use of available space.
- Resistant to naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis and acids.
Typical Applications Steep Slope Reinforcement |

Biaxial Polypropylene Geogrids
Manufactured from Polypropylene using a unique punching and drawing process. - Improves the performance of weak subgrades by providing good tensile strength in both principle directions.
- Base reinforcement & soil stabilization for roadways, berms, dikes, and weak subgrades.
- Used to provide a temporary road surface or a stable foundation for a permanent road.
- Resistant to naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis and acids.
Typical Applications Road sub-base Reinforcement |

Biaxial Fiberglass Geogrids
- Manufactured from knitted fiberglass, these grids are coated with a bituminous material which ensures proper adhesion to the asphalt layers.
- Used to control the cracking of airport runways, taxiways, roads, bridges, jointed concrete carriageways, parking lots, etc.
- Excellent heat resistance and minimal shrinkage at high temperatures of 2000 C
Typical Uses to increase the fatigue life of bituminous pavements |
