Geotextile Tubes (Titan Tubes)
Geotextile Tubes are often referred to as geotubes, geocontainers, geobags, soil tubes, geotextile containers, or dewatering bags. Our Titan Tubes are a similar type of product that are also a cost effective solution to desludging. Titan Tubes are composed of high-tenacity polypropylene yarns, which are woven into a network that supports the high demands required for marine applications. They resist ultraviolet deterioration, rotting, and biological degradation, and are inert to most naturally encountered chemicals, alkalis, and acids.
Titan Tubes are put into action by hooking up pump hoses onto the pre-manufactured fitting on the tube. Then, the existing fluids in the cell that requires the de-sludging are pumped into the tube. The Titan Tube functions by filtering the solids from the liquids. Once the tube is filled and completely drained of the excess fluid, the contractor can cut open up the bag and remove the dried sludge with a loader and a dump truck. Titan Tubes have been utilized for containment and dewatering in many applications such as:
Shoreline Protection |
Animal Waste Containment |
Titan Tubes are available in different fabrics to meet your flow rate needs and strength requirements. They are available in different colors and sizes for a variety of projects. Our tubes are prefabricated in 15', 30', & 40' diameters with standard lengths of 100' and 200'. Please click one of our products below to view a PDF Spec sheet.
